Gosh I love this outfit! The jacket is nice and light and while I do wish it was slightly better made at least it looks good and I can wear it in summer. This dress has definitely become my new fool-proof LBD and with the bag and shoes its a perfect spring outfit for the tropics. Floral jackets and pants are definitely a bit of fun so give them a go if you haven’t already.
Witchery linen jacket & tank, Kookai skirt, Zara studded pumps
Witchery neon knit, Kookai skirt, Tony Bianco pumps, Gorman clutch, YSL arty ring
Another FAVOURITE outfit of late. The colour is so out-of-character for me but I feel like its another good spring outfit. Especially for nights out with a cool breeze. Plus neon is so very on trend right now.
LOVER The Label dress, Eclettica clutch, Betts pumps
LOVER The Label on sale? YES! PLEASE! I don’t know what to say about this dress other than I’m in love with it and wish I had a billion black tie events to attend so I could repeatedly wear this. And the quality is superb! There’s nothing I like more than a wow dress that’s quality. I will be buying more LOVER in future even if it’s not on sale and costs me an arm and a leg.
A great find in Forever New recently that consists of two of my favourite words right now: lace, peplum. Firstly, this top is comfy as anything (usually a requirement to make it into my wardrobe) and secondly, so many options!
The top does come with a purple came underneath but it’s detachable, therefore making the top a lot more fun.
Father’s Day lunch: paired with True Religion shorts & Natasha sandals
Later that night heading to the movies with friends: paired with Paige Premium Denim verdugo leggings, Natasha sandals and a Witchery nude cami underneath.
A week or so later heading out for drinks: paired with Kookai skirt & Tony Bianco nude pumps
I’ll definitely be looking for more ways to style this baby.
Top: Kookai Skirt: Sass and Bide Shoes: Tony Bianco Accessories: Lovisa necklace, New Zealand jade bangle
I’ve worn this outfit before but never with the shoes and necklace. It gives it a slightly edgier look really. Plus I can’t get enough of wearing my Devon boots. It’s a shame it’s so hot or I’d wear them even more. Definitely an outfit I’ll work out how to re-jig for winter with a great jacket perhaps.
Top: Sass & Bide Skirt: Kookai Shoes: Zara Accessories: YSL ring, Lovisa bangle (from set), Olga Berg clutch
A simple but chic outfit I put together to go out last night. Dressy but not too dressy and quite comfy too (except I need a tighter hole punched in my belt so was basically anti-sucking in all night). I plan on wearing this again to a 21st in Brisbane in a few weeks.
Today’s Outfit for work and play. First pic is my very comfy outfit, very chic for work. I absolutely adore it. To be honest, I just chucked in on in a rush to work and thankfully it worked out great. I love that you can still see the skirt beneath because tucking in button ups can be a bother sometimes. At home I’m always in shorts and the top goes great with my blue True Religion Joey Cut-Offs. A tick in all three C’s: comfy, cool (which is most important in the tropics) and of course chic!
I couldn’t be bothered to wear a singlet underneath in this heat, or wear a black bra to make it stand out more. A slight faux pas but as a nearly-21-yo I feel it’s not so bad for me.
Top: Forever New Skirt: Kookai Shoes: Tony Bianco Accessories: Diva necklace, Forever New ring & Mum’s Seiko watch
Top: Forever New Shorts: True Religion Accessories: Tiffany & Co necklace, Jen’s Pirate Booty bangle (I think… It was originally brandless but looks similar to JPB stuff), Mum’s Seiko watch
Oh finally, if you’re buying a similar shirt make sure you go a size up. Oversized is comfy, however make sure you don’t go so big you get swamped in the shirt.
Sorry I’ve been slack with updating Becoming Chic with recent outfits. Below are some new ones I tried out over the last week.
I wore my new Tony Bianco Devon boots to work on Sunday with and oldie but goodie Gypsy 05 tie dye shift dress, Ray-Ban Cats and one of many JKC bangles. I started the day out hair down and wavy but the ridiculous humidity won and I ended up with the old pony-tail. I definitely felt like I was channeling Melbourne shop assistant chic in this outfit — although I may have needed some eyeliner to complete the look!
Saturday’s work outfit consisted of a Cue leopard print tank, Kookai skirt, Arthur Galan belt, Tony Bianco flats, Longchamp tote and Dinosaur Designs bangles. A great outfit that’s got a work-to-after-5-drinks feel to it. I just need another hole punched in the belt so my shirt stops sliding up over it.
Another Sunday work outfit: Nicholas silk shorts, Kookai top, Zara studded heels, Diva necklace and Dinosaur Designs bangles. A nice quick and simple monochrome outfit with coloured accessories.
An outfit I wore to drinks with a friend on my last night in Sydney. Weather appropriate for a girl from tropical NQ and easy to wear. White Suede jacket, Kookai grey tank and black skirt, Zara heels (not shown), Gorman like green bag, Diva necklace. I haven’t decided if I liked the lime green bag and turquoise necklace together but it looks ok, I guess.
I apologize if I’ve repeated any outfits, my Internet just crashed and I’m doing this off my phone. It’s also getting slightly hard to remember what I post on instagram and not on WordPress yet! Stay tuned for more Today’s Outfit posts in the future!
