Castletown Connexion fashion blogger competiton

So as I discussed in my last post, I entered the Castletown Connexion fashion blogger competition last week and on Friday got a call to inform me I’d made it through to the 1st round of semi-finals. I’m excited!

The stage of the competition is a fashion video. On Thursday I’ll have picked an outfit from Universal Store which will be modeled by a friend of mine. I’ll be discussing the outfit I choose and promoting the centre and the store on camera.

Once the video is uploaded to Facebook people have the chance to vote on the video they like best. 3 judge’s choices and 2 with the most votes on Facebook will proceed though to the 2nd round of semi-finals.

I’m going to Castletown tomorrow to pick and outfit for my model—except I have no idea what look I’m going to go for yet. While I’m not modeling the clothes I also need a fantastic outfit and I’m stumped at the moment as to what I’m going to wear. I’ll possibly wear something from another Castletown store to promote the centre.

Wish me luck! I’ll post more blog entries soon.

Loop Magazine Shoot

As I mentioned in one of my last posts, this month’s theme for Loop Magazine (a small youth section of the Townsville Bulletin that I write for) is fashion and I’m reviewing the new Castletown development. I did an amateur photo shoot showing some of the clothes on offer in the centre and the lovely staff from Universal Store, Foxx Foe and Witchery picked some great outfits. Whether you’re going to a festival, relaxing in the sun or heading to a night out on the town; all the looks are inspired by summer. The three stores were extremely helpful and I must say Witchery, in particular, did the whole sha-bang with accessories and even a touch of lipgloss! The article is published on Friday the 29th of October so grab a copy of the Townsville Bulletin and check it out! Here’s a sneak peek of the clothes.
